@thedog I have it loaded, I like it! It should be the official alternate version. Thanks!
-
@ted-self ok, I just got around to starting to play and I see the capitols start with nothing?
-
@ted-self
I will leave you to fix that, for your variant. -
@thedog There are quite a lot of geography lessons in this game. Vespia for instance!

@ted-self
Yes, fictional names can be hard to find, just in case you did not know about

@thedog I'm pretty rusty at this, can you give me a couple of helpful hints about how to get the capitols started with the correct units?
-
@ted-self
Attached an xml with added Industry-Hvy & Trench for each of the capitals
see lines 8845+ for the code

Any thoughts or comments on 1888A S&S ? -
@thedog Yes, I have been playing it, it took a couple of short games to learn the rules and then I set up the game with the established capitols. I have been playing a few turns a day for a week or two now. At first of course as the autocrats I had to have total war with the communist. I pushed them out of Europe and then had to consider who to war with next. All things considered it is a fascinating game. The German and Russian capitols are a bit close to each other which will force the same start next game. A new version might be made that moves the tech to WW2 levels and beyond. Players should maybe get a full turn to correct the situation when the alert comes up about an alliance about to attain enough victory cities. As I said, a fascinating game and I have very few complaints, and there are lots of ways I can think of to take the tech, units and politics and transfer them to various maps depicting different wars. Good work I would say and also thanks for the kind help you provided. I am 70 years old and not much gets me excited anymore, lol.

even at your age.It was exasperating and fun to design the map.
