On a Mac How to get 1941 Global Command Decision working
-
@ezgaming
Moved your request for help here as this thread is just for you.Q2
Dual running of 2.5 & 2.6 we were being cautious 2.6 might not run all 2.5 maps/games. As you want to play 1941 GCD, you can 2.5 remove it if you like.Q1
GCD will only work with the latest versions of TripleA so yes the latest version is always here
https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releasesIf you have 2.6.14683 or higher installed you dont need to install the very latest as this version fixes the Bid system.
As Black_Elk said TripleA only comes with a demo map and you need to download the 300+ maps you want to play.
As wc_sumpton said
I also noticed that when I removed GCD, it did not appear in the "New Map". I had to close the download maps screen and reopen it for GCD to appear. Be aware that both the "Remove" process and the "Install" to quite a few minutes to complete. So be patient.Latest 1941GCD
- Remove the old version and reinstall the new version by;
TripleA Downloads> Installed tab> Highlight 1941 Global Command Decision> Remove button - Exit TripleA and then restart it, you might not need to do this but it might help & it only takes a few seconds more
- Once removed TripleA Downloads> New Maps tab and install 1941 Global Command Decision
None of the people trying to help you are Mac users were are Windows & Linux, so Mac wise we cannot help you look at the detail.
I notice that 2.6 does not show the map version, so I will request that be fixed. But try the above.

I did a long time ago. Maybe you'll actually get an answer instead of being ignored
EZ anybody in your group have a different OS ? Does it work for them ?
I suspect it's a macintosh issue.
