      @trout @beelee. Another very confusing thing is the overloading of terms like "1st" and "2nd"

      As you can see I have to deal with more than one thing called "1st" and that is just silly to me and serves no purpose.

      I suggest that if these upper boxes are continued to be used that the mapping be improved to ALWAYS SHOW unique labels. I would rather see 73rd and 82nd instead of three "1st"

      And while you guys may see some difference, I just see a couple of "1st" and a couple "2nd." One has a German Panther while the others have no image - and there are little red stars. But that does not mean anything to me yet.

      Is the German Panther tank supposed to be some sort of armor while the lack of the tank image is...? what exactly?

      Is there a way to improve the program to allow all the pieces under a particular label to be shown under a "hover" of the mouse pointer?

        @johnnycat Hey JC. It's not a Mac thing because your screenshots look exactly like what we have on our screens. How else would we do it? In the rulebook, it basically does the same thing for the board game in that you set aside units in a tray and replace them with an Army unit. So it's really the best way to do it. I would suggest a compromise as follows since it's just a part of the game that you are having trouble grasping is that when I post a Russian turn, I will put in the turn post exactly what units are in each Russian army. But you could get the same information by just looking at your bar across the top.

        So rest assured, you are not playing at a disadvantage because your screen shot is exactly what we have. Beelee may be able to send you a screen shot to validate that it's the same. I just for some reason have trouble posting screen shots myself (I believe it's user error meaning me because I am just not super PC-literate like Beelee and Panzer are) Anyway, hope that helps.

          OK ok that is good to know.

          So it seems to come down to just experience. You guys know that a marker that says, "1st" is different from another marker that says, "1st" and I am having huge trouble understand that.

          And so I am just requesting that we forgo the use of these upper boxes and put the units on the map board in the traditional way,

          OR

          perhaps @beelee could change the game to use unique character strings and not multiple uses of: "1st" and "2nd"

          I am suggesting that any second or third use of the string: "1st" be replaced with other character names or strings that avoid this confusion.

          So instead of looking at the map and seeing "1st" marker in territory X, and another "1st" marker in territory Y, that we instead use markers with distinct names: maybe call them "X" and "Y" instead of "1st" and "1st"

          these are just my ideas - if I need to map all these pieces to markers of the same name I can do it but that means that I will need to affirm what units are there each turn and that could become tedious.

            @johnnycat Outside of G and Commies, they are rarely used so I can just each turn give a rundown of where each Army is and what is in it. (For Tank & Panzer Armies, it will always be a Tank General/Panzer General and 5 tanks/panzers). Also to help you get over the hump on learning them, I can agree to just not do the Army Group boxes.

              I just sort of noticed that the tank silhouette or lack of silhouette is something I will just have to get used to.

              OK my turn - I will get to it but am playing Axis Allies Bloodbath now with a couple of other guys!

                @johnnycat Roger. I feel like I am turning you into an evil genius. I see where you also will likely defeat Panzer in your first game also. Which is again incredible since you still struggle with understanding the House Rules. You may have a Championship in your future if you decide to visit the Captain and his buddies in Denmark for their annual tournament after you have a full grasp of all the House Rules in the game

                    Interesting day of playing an actual boardgame - and while I enjoyed it, it was not what I had envisioned.

                    In fact, I am much more interested in this TripleA version than any other game!

                    And maybe I got old, but playing in person is just not what it once was...

                        @beelee another thing worth noting is that THE INCREDIBLE amount of time needed to complete a combat turn!

                        This (the Captain) game is a total luxury compared to the actual board game!

                        Having said that, however, I do want to compliment the creator of the Blood Bath Rules - it forces the games to be done within 6 Horus and the entire thing within 8 turns.

                        In many ways it is similar to this Expansion though in place of all the extra units in this game (landing craft, mines, etc.) the BBR game has more complex victory points. Some territories, for example, offer minerals or oil or other perks.

                        So I highly recommend you all play it... But this is still best...

I think BBR is best for playing friends on the board since you can actually finish a game in one day. But I think if you have the time like we do with TripleA where we can have a life and do turns just whenever we have time, this HRE is just so much better than anything else.

                                  You can edit an Undrg Major Fctry in Moscow and then place your unplaced Hvy Ind Undrg then remove it if you wanna get rid of it πŸ™‚

                                  But you probably already know that πŸ™‚

                                  Haven't looked at this in a while. reich got a major hardon for the Middle East lol

                                      @johnnycat It needs to be removed. Forgot to place it in 1st phase so instead had to Edit it there. I don't know how to remove something from the Production Q so it's just going to sit there unbuilt for rest of the game
