Naval Models & Colors ?

Hi All,
New to the program, and appreciate it being here but find it kind of challenging to decipher the naval ship models in particular. I understand you can hover, or after many games maybe learn them, but they appear to be unnecessarily ambiguous and hard to immediately recognize by sight.
Has anyone considered updating these to a more concise model? Seems like an easy fix that would have a nice impact.
Additionally, am I the only one who finds the Japanese color strangely confusing? I can't help but always think that they are UK units and question why they aren't a more distinct color to avoid this potential confusion for new players.
Appreciate any input, happy to donate to make updates if money is the only issue to get this done!

I guess you are talking about the old A&A maps/mods, but which ones?
The more recently made maps do look a lot better, here is 1941 Global Command Descision, Japan for example.

The images will be much sharper in game then they appear when posted here as well. The UHD maps use mostly Frostion units also , as well as his Iron War and Age of Tribes.
You can add units to your preferred map and customize it. The map making threads have the information on how to do it. Ask there if you are interested in learning how.
