Relationship Upkeep Usage?
-
@crazyg Yeah, that appears to be the case. The only place I saw it added to at one point was Napoleonic Empires FFA but looks like it was removed.
-
@redrum Isn't it in ZOD's badass FFA?
-
@redrum Yes I use this in my Bad-Ass 4-Nation FFA. I use two forms of costs, one upkeep for both nations if accepted (and each turn as long as active) and a one time charge for the nation initiating the diplomatic overture.
@prastle I use a different upkeep for the dragons charging the nations food to feed the dragons.
@frostion I do have a mod for your Dragon War, just never quite completed it. Actually forgot about it for several months. Eventually I was gonna fill you in on it.

-
@general_zod kk gz it was just a cool idea for dragon wars! I still like my eggs idea as well

-
Interesting about the food upkeep cost for Dragons. Good idea. I wonder why I didn't implement it.
Would be nice to see the "mod" one day. -
@frostion Yeah we can compare notes on it. @Prastle and I played DW for a while last year so we can both help ya on improvements.
My mod may have went a bit too far. I converted it to d20 as an experiment to try and get a d&d feel going. But that's were I left it. I never actually tested since.
Also I was leaning toward a 3 way FFA with alliances.
-
@frostion The food upkeep for dragons causes nations to decide, dragons and a small standing army or none and a large standing army.
Because I made dragons very hungry :()
-
@General_Zod If you post the XML there is an "Official" Dragon War thread here at the new forum. I don't know about breaking up the alliances and converting to d20 though. But who knows

-
@general_zod wouldn't Dragons be eating you enemies units?

-
@hepps Sure were they can. But dragons are so powerful, I thought they needed a counter balance element.
-
@frostion Yeah its really not the same game anymore. You don't even wanna know what else I did. lol
I might give you heart palpitations.

-
@general_zod don't tell him about the new gate ideas

-
I am thinking in the lines of WoW and the great world changing โCataclysmโ! Arghh!

-
@frostion we really enjoyed the map only 2 major issues we found were:
-
Dragons were way to predictable.
-
It was almost impossible for the east to help the west without a southwest passage for the elves to the inner sea? or a gate? Similar prob with the north.
-
-
@prastle Maybe this conversation is better suited for the map thread?
-
@hepps Np ill shush
