Improve Hotkeys

I did not know about the F hotkey until now and only new about N because I hit by accident

@crazyg They are all in the 'Help'>'Movement/Selection Help' menu

Could consider renaming that menu option. We could eventually consider custom hotkeys but I'd say let's get some decent defaults first and what should be available for hotkeys before getting too crazy.

Looks good. Here's a couple more suggestions for existing UI. All should toggle on/off, I think.

Your at end of post look acceptable too.

1. Ctrl+E - Toggle edit mode

2. Ctrl+H - Toggle history mode

3. Ctrl+C -Toggle chat

4. For zoom suggest Ctrl+, +/- for 1% increments, but also Ctrl+, 9/3 for 10% increments as well. This will allow fine quick fine tuning of zoom levels.

5. Ctrl+H - Hide all tabs including minimap. (or Ctrl+C - Collapse all tabs)

6. Ctrl+P - Toggle show politics panel

7. Ctrl+L - Toggle unit help list

8. Is it possible to make the shortcut for territory tab, right mouse click while hover on territory, instead of Ctrl+T. This will likely be used a lot and should be doable with mouse.

9. Actually now that I'm looking at the keyboard. It would be cool if all the others where doable by left hand (or at least main ones). So a combination of keys reachable by left hand. Since right hand is mostly on the mouse. Some of these like zoom would literally suck, if need right hand to do them.
   Is something with user programmable from defaults possible?

10. Fix the spacebar chatting quirk. So it can't accidently go confirming stuff all over the place.

@general_zod 5 looks sweet. Map would be the whole screen : ) Easier to look around and then back to action mode : )

I was thinking it'd go back to default when you moved, but no reason for that. Leave it full screen until you want to know something : ) Probably get an extra 10-15% view !

• Ctrl+M - Toggle showing all moves made in this phase (could get messy though)

What I think would be a nice hotkey is the ability to cycle through the territories that have been moved into while the BC was open. That way you could assess each battle prior to pressing 'Done' on the 'Action' screen.

@wc_sumpton I would go further and add a hotkey to calculate all pending battles and display win % as a green - yellow - red (% dependent) number over the territories.

It would be a very cool to do all combat moves and see generic win % for each attack, over each territory. Either with a hotkey or automatic.

Well, some good ideas here though I mostly wanted to focus on hotkeys for existing functionality first. Updating the first post to show what I'll look to add in the short-term vs some longer term ideas.

Add Ctrl+(-/+) to zoom out/in - In best case this one is very hard to do with left hand if at all. I suggest Ctrl+Z (-) / Ctrl+X (+).

Ctrl+T is not useful for left hand. Can we make it Ctrl+Q?

Ctrl+C - toggle all existing panes on/off seems very useful.

Having coded to letters is nice, but if they aren't helpful, I would skip letter coding and go for usefulness.

Or ability to customize from default hotkeys would be great.
