AA 1940 Global Map
-
I'm not sure if I'm in the right place but I'm wondering where I can find the notes for the maps as shown when you open or play a map in TripleA? I know you can read them in the game but I would like to print out a hard copy to read either during or even when I'm not in a game.
I've search all the installed folders on my PC and even tried the links to Github where the maps are located (I think).
I'm specifically referring to the Global 1940 second edition (credited to Bung and Veqryn) but I suppose this could be relevent to any or all maps in TripleA.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers -
Those game notes a part of the game xml file.
You will find this file when you unzip the map.zip. It is inside the \map\games subfolder. Open the respective xml in a capable text editor. You need to browse through the file, as it contains much more.
So it might be a lot easier to just access the game notes after opening the game in TripleA, mark all the content with your mouse and copy paste everything into a word processing software.

@panther
Thanks for getting back to me.
Opening an XML file and searching through that is not beyond my ability but like you suggest, copy and paste is probably the easier option.

@scousemart An export notes to pdf button, in which you can specify the width, may be a good feature request.

@cernel
Good idea. Not sure where I would go to do that. I'll need help with that. -
@scousemart If you just need to view the notes outside of TripleA, then the new version of UBr may help.
I have added an option to view the notes in version 1.0.4
See this thread for instructions
You need to follow the instructions to see the notes clicking the link will not be sufficient.
For those who loaded XMLs into UBr prior to version 1.0.4 you will need to reload those to see the notes.
