Error code (or maybe a bug?)
-
Received this error message when trying to post an A&A forum game:
Missing refresh header after login
Took me ages to figure out that somehow my login to the A&A forum had been replaced with my email login, which I use for email games.
Whilst I cannot offer any explanation why the logins had been changed, what confused me was the wording for the error. Is it not possible that this error can be re-worded, assuming that the error actually refers to an incorrect login or does it refer to something else?
The change in the logins might have something to do with upgrading the engine to 10949 pre-release or maybe not... -
@scousemart Indeed the error refers to an incorrect login. Most of the time due to a typo or a username that is not registered. Just to confirm this.

@panther Ok thanks. I was just about to search on A&A forums but you beat me to it!
However, if that be the case, would it not be a good idea to re-word the error to something more obvious? just a suggestion. -
@scousemart Yes, there are some postings about it. Also we have an error message "Missing refresh header" from time to time (without "after login") that is related to temporary forum issues. I agree the wording is not really significant.
-
@panther Hopefully it can be fixed but I understand it might not be very high on the list of things to do.
-
@scousemart Sorry for the trouble this has been causing you
I find that error message confusing as well, definitely not what I expected it to be.
Maybe this can be fixed with a single line code change. -
@scousemart @RoiEX I have opened a Github issue for it: https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/issues/3719
