If you added skin relevant elements, like units not covered by the original map or the program's assets, then you are modifying not only the game, but also other parts of the map. In this case, you will either need the "nwo_variants" map being changed as to support your game or upload your game as a separate map (in this last case, the process is substantially the same as if you would be adding an original map, besides any copyright considerations (it would be exactly the same if the TripleA maps would be in the public domain)).

"New World Order 5 Nations" is actually a fairly popular map, so your improved version may be of some interest to a number of active players in the lobby. Just letting you know.

@Cernel Well, its not a improved version of the original in this sense, its only based on the map and some units. Most other units i got from different triple a maps.
For now i think i just write down all things i can say about this mod and show units and so on and only then we can think about how and where to put.
I rarely do present something like this. Thats why i am asking. I dont want to come into conflict with any copyright things and such.
Eventually you can tell me what i can do wrong.

Disclaimer: This is not a finished mod. Its about historical factual reasoning (unit strenghts etc) lumped together with fiction. Often i had to ignore some historical facts to accomplish balance and consistency.

This is attempt to present and share a tripleA mod (still in progress) based on NWO 5 Nations map (technically). Main reason is that i like to share concepts, pngs, aspects and ideas rather than a full worked out mod, which i eventually never can do.

              Mod name: "Silent Sentinels"
Scenario: WW2 fiction (faction territory setting and some units) & partial accuracy on history (most units)
Axis = Germans & Russia (Human only yet but changeable)
Allies = Americans & British (AI only yet but changeable)
(Factions can be altered, but the above setup is how i played it)
Units: Partial attempt of historical accuracy of appearance and combat strenght through study and watching documentations.
Placed units for AI by trigger events to prevent iconic WW2 units not be build because of AI buy unit behavior.

              Features (good and bad (?)):
No tech play (only mechanized tech as preset)
Scissor Stone Paper game elements (unit composition matters)
No isAA isSub isDestroyer units (Scissor Stone Paper instead)
All Air units are isAirBase (no AirBase structures, air is more free and scramble becomes more available)
Some unique units with uniqe stat retributions and names for each nation
Trigger paced introduction of new units by rounds (5,10,15, etc) to simulate tech
Unit upkeep for all units which are able to attack, to give defensive approaches more weight and dimish breakpoint of unit stacking
Submarine can pass through canals without holding connected territories
              Transports/Convoys repair 2HP units
......i am certainly missing some points here

I really like the incremental addition of new units at differing, very cool.

Uploading maps to the official repository is meant to be pretty easy. We accept maps that are still in-progress and encourage people to keep working on them even after an initial upload.

If you'd like to bundle the map as part of the original NWO, that kind of thing typically needs the map makers permission. NWO is pretty old/set, so creating a new map with the new mod inside of it is perhaps the way to go.

Let us know if you'd like to get this variant in the official repo, and as @RogerCooper offered he hosts a large number of maps as well.

Actually, as I said, the game it is starting from is part of the "nwo_variants" map (not to be confused with the "new_world_order_variants" map), not of the "new_world_order" (original) map.

The "nwo_variants" map already includes 3 games, and I believe each of them is from a different user (I'm almost sure).

Would be this the easiest way then? Because i have trouble to understand right now what the last point is about.

Eventually i need some basic step by step advise how to proceed.
I am not familiar with the procedere.
First thing i understood is that i need to rename the files if its a map of its own.

Well, looks like its the original map that i used, opposed to 5 Nations which i have told. But now i think i remember that i used the NWO_5_Nations.xml with the orginal map. This was very early, at least one year ago.
Because the game shows the orginal map, NOT the 5_Nation variant, BUT my xml is NWO_5_Nations.xml !
I am now confused how to preoceed in the easiest way.

                      Edit:
I just did a copy of my exessive modded NWO_5_Nations.xml and renamed it to SilentSentinels.xml and changed the game info name within.
Furthermore i dont remember exactly why i did use 5 Nations.xml with orginal map. I just cant remember. But i hope thats no problem.

If you wanna add as a separate map here is Frostion's guide:
