OK, well done everyone! We now have 32 participants ! We are now preparing the bracket and will send an email to everyone in about 48 hours or so (+/-). In the interim, please ensure the following:
-
please ensure that you are willing to commit to this tournament, as it will require that you play swiftly (either live or PBEM / PBF).
-
Remember, unless both players agree otherwise, the default format will be PBEM / PBF. Please familiarize yourself with the process here: https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/43/how-to-play-online-and-pbem-videos
-
Also, please review the Rules in detail, in order to avoid any issues. Rules are posted here: https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/542/triple-a-rules-for-revised-tournaments
If you have any questions, please email me straight away at 5683deltium@gmail.com
Cheers, Deltium

I believe this is the first 32+ players tournament in the history of TripleA (and the 20th ToC, all of them summmed up).
-
Revised ToC 1, 2, and 3 each had 32 players.

** TOURNAMENT UPDATE **
This update below was sent to each of the 32 players by email, and please confirm that you have your correct email address in the TripleA database.
Dear All Revised Tournament of Champions, Season 12 (ToC 12) participants,
Welcome to the start of the tournament, and thanks for everyone's participation !!
The ToC12 touranment shall begin shortly, but a few important items to emphasize today:
(1) First, please let me know ASAP if you are unable to play, or unable / unwilling to agree to all of the rules of the tournament. I expect to be starting the tournament within the next 24-48 hours, and if you are unable or unwilling to play anymore, please advise ASAP.
(2) Second, please review ALL of the rules ahead of time, in order to avoid any problems or misunderstandings. It is your responsibility to understand the rules, and I have taken great care to try and document everything as best as possible. The rules are posted at this link: https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/542/triple-a-rules-for-revised-tournaments
(3) Third, please ensure that you are willing to commit to the frequency of game play. As stated in the rules, the time limit between PBEM / PBF moves is 36 hours maximum, with progressive warnings thereafter. Do note that this game play frequency will be enforced strictly, AND that ALL games must be finished within 30 days after inception. I highlight that, for some players, this will be more than enough time to finish the game, and based on historical results, 95%+ of you should have no problem with this. However, there are always a few games, which for whatever reason, take longer to finish, and in such case, the Adjudication process shall be adhered to strictly. Therefore, if you are approaching the time limit for the round, I encourage you and your opponent to agree upon a day & time to meet in the Lobby online, and finish your game live.
(4) Fourth, I strongly encourage you to communicate proactively to avoid any issues. Common issues between players include Order of Loss (OOL) disputes, which are already addressed in the rules, along with game play frequency and minor edits. Please do your best to be reasonable and commit the time to keep the game moving forward quickly.
(5) Fifth, do note that this is a PBEM / PBF touranment (Play by Email / Play by Forum) tournament, and some of you may not be familiar with this approach. Both players may agree to play live instead, but if not, PBEM / PBF shall be the default. The process is quite simple, and I encourage you to review the following link to familiarize yourself.
The link is: https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/43/how-to-play-online-and-pbem-videos/2
Please ensure that you also register immediately on the Marti dice server, if you have not done so already. Link = http://dice.tripleawarclub.org/(6) Lastly, have fun and enjoy this !! This is an opportunity to not only play highly skilled players, but to interact with A&A players around the world, and experience different strategies and tactics. It is a great opportunity to raise your game and have a lot of fun at the same time.
What happens next? In the next 24-48 hours, I will be notifying everyone of their First Round match-up by personalized email. I will also be establishing a Tournament Bracket link so that everybody can observe the results in real-time.
If you have any questions, please email me at 5683deltium@gmail.com.
Cheers, Deltium

ps.....and let mb win...he has the mind of a child.. -
@deltium In the Triple A Rules for Revised Tournaments forum (https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/542/triple-a-rules-for-revised-tournaments) it is stated under frequency of playing:
"To finish a tournament A&A game within 45 days a rhythm of 1 or 2 days a turn is expected."
This contradicts what you have written in (3).
"AND that ALL games must be finished within 30 days after inception."
Just pointing this out so that it can be settled before the tourny starts.
-
@Cradge - thanks. I have corrected and updated the rules to reflect the 30 day game limit and 36 hours per turn maximum. Cheers.

I've received several questions on Marti / PBEM, etc. For those of you who are new to PBEM, please review the following. There are also YouTube videos to explain everything there.

bayder (Allies) defeats GeneralDudeU (Axis +9) in round 5 via surrender in an online lobby game. Germany gambled in round 1 with solo BB on DD in sz15, and had to lose the tran destined for Egy. Then, Egy didn't fall, and things went from bad to worse for the Axis powers. Japan begin gaining steam, but it wasn't fast enough as Allies quickly had Germany backed into a corner. Axis got absolutely horrible luck in this game, and GeneralDudeU was very sportsmanlike in never complaining.

@smalldog48 Part 3 of the Youtube videos is really helpful. Shows you step by step how to set up PBEM games.
