      For some reasons Save Games struggle to load on Bots - making the map pratically not playable.

      Also experienced on T1 a 2 hit carrier - I've read above though something similar happened to other players too.

        So I have been on hiatus for a while. Just sat down with some time off over the holidays and realized something...

        The game when played on the lobby has issues it doesn't have when playing locally.

        Namely... units do not transfer ownership properly on the lobby game but seem to work fine when playing locally.

        Do any of the developers have any idea why this might be?

          @Hepps engine versions come to mind. Which version are you running locally?

              Just wanted to point out that I don't think this is unique to your map...

              I noticed the same thing recently on World War II Global 1940 2nd Edition. The units produced in India don't properly transfer over to UK Europe ownership like they normally do.

                @LaFayette The other thing is it only happens on the Lobby.

                When I open the game with the engine locally it works fine.

                Even though both are running on the same newest engine version.

                        IIRC this functionality has broken a few times before.

                        Thank you for the detective work @beelee , the story does not end here though.

                        That fix was part of version 19697

                        It's probably time we move this to a bug report so we don't hijack this thread with debug information and questions. It might not be just a version difference, though still very interesting the problem only happens in bots. @Hepps , can you craft a save game that is just before where you see this working correctly locally and where it does not work when playing on bots? I wonder if you do a local host game, if it works there or not as well.

                              @LaFayette So lastly @prastle was kind enough to do a private host and that works perfectly as well.

                                    The issue of ownership transfers not happening properly on the bots is likely related to this bug

                                    https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/issues/8054

                                    which indicates a very similar problem that existed as of 22192, and had disappeared by 22265. The bots currently and for awhile now ran on 22202, whereas most people have the 22294 engine, and most likely did when they were testing it offline. 22202<22265<22294

                                    Next time the bots are redeployed may cause the ownership transfer issue to be fixed. (the unrelated issue with carriers would remain).

                                      Morning, I' a newbie to T.W.War but I have experience in Global and P.T.Victory.
                                      I played my first match and I developed IMPROVED DES with Usa, the in teh turn after I attacked a german sub, when I roll I receive an error

                                      The error is not critical and I can go on but I can't understand why:
                                      -defending subs rolls for a 2 and not a 1
                                      -mainly... I have IMPR DES so why does the german sub fire first ? he killed my des with no chance for me to win....

                                          The sub's attack at 2 in that situation is a special ability of the subs in that version. In the first round only, a sub on defense gets an extra roll at 2 to try to kill an enemy dd; and that happens before regular combat rolls, and regardless of the improved destroyers tech. It's separate from the 'first strike' ability which only refers to the regular combat roll by the subs, and whether it happens before regular attacks by other units or not.
                                          The description is thus somewhat inaccurate.

                                          As for the bug, I can't account for it; I tried to replicate the bug by doing the things you described and did not encounter that error or any other error.
