Today I randomly came across this map I'd made last summer as an experiment to test an idea related to unit interactions. It wasn't made for release and isn't very good (or at all), but hey, maybe someone will like it. @RogerCooper you may want to add this to your scenario list.

As for my disappearance, I've had zero time for map making, and that's unlikely to change too much. I'll want to free up some time at some point to at least incorporate the conclusions we've had about that half-finished second game of BFA. I do check the forum every week or two though, so should you really need me for something, I'll notice.

@alkexr Interesting. I've wanted to make a feudal/medieval themed map for a while and wanted to loosely base it on Age of Empires. Your base map and territory layout is pretty decent. The rest looks like it was mostly just some base units to test certain support/AA abilities. I had planned to do a Europe only and then Europe+Asia version with initial civs similar to this: https://i.redd.it/7r1nswtgv5xz.jpg

Honestly, if you created some sort of alliances and added a few game notes then can probably add it to TripleA as an experimental category map if you want.

@alkexr Interesting. I've something similar (set in 1181), but with much less neutrals and only 16 players in 5 alliances, instead of 25 FFA, on hold for other priorities since some years.

Is this one FFA right? Beside finding 25 human players, is this meant to be played like Feudal Japan (as many humans as you can get, 1 player each, all other players to AI)?

Should play it to be sure, but looks to me this one is already more playable than at least half of what there is in the repository... Only things I have to say is that the skirmishers look too cost/efficient than the rest; it might eund up in skirmisher spam like the regular 270BC. Don't think I'll get a serious chance at trying it out with people if it is not in download list.

I can see this is not intended to be much historical, but is the starting date supposed to be early XII century (like in the aftermath of the First Crusade)? The only major thing that gives me doubts on this guess is the presence of Bulgaria.

@Cernel It was never really meant to be played at all. Some new players may like to play against Easy AI and do some map-painting, but that's all I think.

If your opponent starts spamming skirmishers, then buy a few knights and laugh at them.

@redrum Wow that is seriously Ethnic oriented. There is that single "Slavs" players that groups together Pomerania, Bohemia, Polonia, almost all Russia, Serbia and Bulgaria. Tho, in this case, they got the name "Britons" wrong, as those are, rather, the "Anglo-Saxons" migrants, since also "Brittany" ("Little Britain") I see it is not part of the "Britons"...
