Unable to post moves anymore TripleA version 2.5.22294

Hello,
I've been using TripleA version 2.5.22294 for about a year, and been very happy with it. However, recently I've been unable to post moves to axisandallies.org from this computer.
Whenever I try to either Manually post PBEM/PBF gamesave or post move at the end of a turn, I get the normal dialog that says "Posting manual Gamesave post..." but the dialog just hangs interminably.

The site is up and running, and I can post from another computer. So its something about this computer's configuration.

I'm running Ubuntu 18.04
TripleA 2.5.22294

I've tried uninstall and reinstall
Rebooting
Loading different game moves

Any suggestions?

@beelee It doesn't work anywhere anymore. I can test post from the initial game start dialog, but once the game is running, I cannot post moves

@jim-parker yea I got that. Panther in Germany, so probably be a bit before he sees this. He's real good at figuring stuff like this out and unless he's busy, probably reply soon.

I'am not going to violate data protection here, but your username on the A&A forum is related to an activity you can do using wind or waves. And I saw this user(name) posting successfully a turn about 15 hours ago.

Does the game only hang - or do you get an error message at any time? If you get an error message please post a screenshot.

Is there a file called error.log in your TripleA-installation directory? If yes, please post it.

Also, please post a screenshot of your PBF-setup-screen.

@panther Good detective work.
I was curious what my username on this site was...seems strange but the above don't work when entered into triplea

I did post on A&A site but using another computer...that has the same version of tripleA and uses Ubuntu 18.04. Not sure what the difference is.

The error log is attached. I removed the errors that were related to attempting to log-in with the wrong username.

However, after a couple of days of trial and error...I can post again. The only thing that was different today was that I had cleared out the error.log so that I could have a clean capture of the errors. But I don't see how that changed anything. I tried copying the file back to the same TripleA directory, and yet I could still post.

Oh, and as to the question about hanging: The game had just hung while attempting to post. No error message or dialog.

The error.log is just a simple text file that does not affect any procedure once it has been created or deleted. The errors that are still included in the error log indicate some inconsistencies with the PBF setup information.

However, as you can post now we should get back to your issue once it will probably reappear.

It is always a bit tricky to use usernames that contain spaces or special characters for PBF.
That is why on the other forum we recommend to avoid that or to change the name.

In any case jim-parker should work on this forum. Of course you need to change the Forum information in the PBF setup-screen to forums.triplea-game.org .
