Hello Everyone!
Created a new 1v1 scenario and I'd like some feedback from the modding community and perhaps a game or two?!

@island I would suggest using greyish blue for sea zones.

@island
Welcome to the forums. Well done on producing a map!Im a fan of upkeep/maintenance cost to reduce mega stacks when players just defend.
So consider putting in the following line for each unit, except transports;<option name="createsResourcesList" value="-1:PUs"/>
but if you do you might have to increase the value of some territories to compensate.

@schulz no problem

1:51:16 PM) island: I been working on a new map
(1:51:25 PM) island: 1v1 neuschwabenland style
(1:51:41 PM) SilverBullet: i seen it
(1:51:53 PM) island: What did you think?
(1:51:56 PM) SilverBullet: it would be much better if it can scroll 360
(1:52:02 PM) island: nah
(1:52:31 PM) island: its intentionally open on four fronts...the interior provinces are more valuable
(1:52:48 PM) SilverBullet: ahhh
(1:53:12 PM) island: I'm working on balancing the values and the neutral army sizes to make distinct stages for development
(1:53:21 PM) SilverBullet: k
(1:53:25 PM) island: because I wanna make individual units more valuable
(1:53:57 PM) island: I like the game more when its not giant doom stacks moving
(1:54:19 PM) island: thats the crucial time often in terms of advantage
(1:55:07 PM) island: if you send ships around the outside it will take longer, the land bridges are more direct and there is a path of protected spaces with no coastline
(1:55:37 PM) island: so its all about deciding which path to devote resources toward and then adapting as your opponent makes a move
(1:58:04 PM) island: There is an optimal expansion using particular units (scouts, with 3 move) who are not effective in combat for their cost. The player has to decide how quickly they want to expand, etc

@thedog
I think this snippet details my thoughts about doomstacks:
island: its intentionally open on four fronts...the interior provinces are more valuable
SilverBullet: the thing i dont like is not being able to attack against the furthest away faction
SilverBullet: ahhh
island: I'm working on balancing the values and the neutral army sizes to make distinct stages for development
SilverBullet: k

Ghoast:Herfbert and Sinai:Townbergville are both canals.
I think there are quite a few intelligent strategic choices to consider.After playtesting more with humans then perhaps id insert that upkeep code but only if the map seemed to have the doomstack problem.

Update for installation:
put apathbeyond-master.zip in your triplea/downloadedMaps folder and unzip then place the apathbeyond folder in with the other .zips, in the same folder. It works, I tested it on a fresh install.Hopefully someday this very cool map will be added to the experimental downloadable games in the triplea client

Hi @island
You might ask @RogerCooper he adds lots of maps to triplea
-
@island
You might consider adding some victory conditions.
