Lobby does not connect

Re: Error: could not connect to lobby
Fresh install on 2 different systems. Both give same error:
I've read through several help guides and forums. Enabled port 3300 from the firewall. Still no change.
Is the lobby permanently offline? -
@jtyoshi yeah i think the server is down or something not sure who is looking after it rn
-
@ubernaut Thanks for the heads up!
-
@jtyoshi Do you think it will be down indefinitely/long term or there's a relatively short time frame?

Sorry i shoulda posted earlier. it's working for me and did about 5 hours ago too.
I'd ask @Panther if you're still having trouble.
Edit
You might try manually deleting all things triplea and try again. Sometimes it hides out places. You don't need the 3300 port forward to use lobby.I see you're on 2.5 stable. what OS are you using ?
-
@beelee Thanks! I got into the lobby but the hosting doesn't work.
"Your computer is not reachable from the internet."port 3300 shows cannot connect, despite establishing inbound/outbound rules.
-
@jtyoshi yea idk much about the 3300 port forward thingy. This was recent https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/3141/hosting-game but idk if a solution was found.
Thought there was another recent one, but can't find it. I never have figured out this node bb search. Just throws a pile of stuff up you gotta sift through

When talking about a firewall, what exactly do you mean?
Is your PC connecting directly with the internet (through some sort of modem)? Or are you using a router that establishes and manages your internet connections?
Are you using a software firewall? Maybe Windows Defender Firewall? Or another third party product?
Are you on Windows, MacOS or Linux, or... ?
-
@panther
I have a router - might check the port setting there.
Otherwise yes Windows Defender only, no other product. Windows 10.
