Play by Email Dice Verification Concerns

Hey everyone, I've recently discovered TripleA while going down an Axis and Allies rabbit hole and have been trying to get a play by email game going with my friends.

I was looking around on the forums and found that a moderator posted instructions on how to start a play by email session sometime in 2017. One of the links he posted, related to dice email verification, redirected me to a VERY suspicious site that I am fairly certain is a phishing scam.

Why would I need to download anything to get dice working? Furthermore, why would said executable need access to my private gps and network information?

This is highly suspect. And I am concerned that others like me may fall for this scam.

Forgive me for my ignorance if I am wrong about this.

Could somebody on this forum please help me figure out what's going on with this? Any help or context would be appreciated.

Thank you for that information.

When the topic you refer to had been written 9 years ago, the links were accurate.
tripleawarclub had been the 'home' of TripleA back in those days.
Now, as things frequently change, that domain expired one day, and TripleA switched to triplea-game.org.

You did right to report this issue. So your hint is very helpful - and I will update that specific link to the valid one.

Thanks for the prompt response!

Given this info, I'm not surprised that the old domain became whatever that was.

It'd be a good idea to remove the old link from the play by email post as well to make sure nobody else clicks on it.
