is 2.5.22294 the latest release?

Hi All,
New to forum, been playing AI for a couple of years now & love it on a cold winters night.

I've checked to see if I'm running the latest version by looking at the website. When I dwnld from the website I get 2.5.22294 (windows). When I look at pre-releases it seems the game has gone way past that and the 2.5 is very old. Is there a stable release beyond 2.5 out there somewhere? I saw talk about releasing 2.6 about a yr ago but it still seems to be a pre-release. Am I missing something? I also saw something about the AI being faster which would be really cool since I like to play the maps with 17 players with most set to some level of AI.

@patman hi and welcome that is the latest “stable” release the pre-releases are actually pretty stable these days

I would consider these 2.7 pre-release versions stable.

Besides 2.7 being faster than 2.5 for AI play, it also allows the use of isAI an xml command that makes it easy for mapmakers to enhance the AI game play.
