Scenario Ultimate Pants WW2v3
Description World War 2 on a large map with many nations
Download Repository/Experimental/Ultimate World VariantsGood Points
- Many nations create many options
Bad Points
- A lot of nations and units to keep track of.
The AI should be set to Fast, to avoid slow AI turns.
-
Scenario Apocalypse 2012
Description World War in 2012 on a large map
Download DownloadGood Points
- Interesting hypothetical situation
- New unit types to reflect modern warfare
- Force strengths and economic values based upon reality
Bad Points
- No victory conditions
- Slow, even with fast AI due to large number of units
- Neutrals are impassable even though they have been assigned forces. This blocks NATO and Russia from fighting.
I will make a fix on this scenario.
-
@RogerCooper You could add to the negative points that the map drawing (clearly a modification of Domination) has some borders giving a pre-WW1, rather than 2012, flavour; for example the border between Libya and Algeria.
-
@RogerCooper
The SZ between 72 and 159 is not drawn properly.
Also if there are too many units, the display gets pushed into another SZ. -
@Lord-Bevan When I am fixing other people's scenarios, I take a minimalist approach and don't generally fix the actual map. I just adjust the xml and add in missing images. Feel free to create your own version of the scenario

- The cavalry unit isn't worth buying
Are you sure that is a bad point? Assuming that is true (never played any Revised), maybe it was just intended as to represent it as obsolete, since many believe that cavalry was not anymore something worth investing money on during WW2 (I'm not saying that is what I believe too; just saying it may be intended).

Cavalry being not worth it is realistic, but what was the point of creating a scenario with an added unit that no one will buy. This scenario is included for completeness only.
