Brennan (Allies) def. Villars (Axis +9) Round 9 USA9_Villars_vs_Brennan.tsvg
A win for Allies after Villars graciously surrenders at the end of Round 9. A hard fought battle on both sides, Russia got off to a strong start, followed by some unfortunate dice for the Axis in rd1. Thereafter U.S. focused on the Pacific, thus Japan and the Allies’ fleets did the dance for a time, which helped the Allies keep Japan preoccupied. Notable successes for the Axis were their pressure on – and presence in – North America on the part of both powers, and even Germany’s presence in Brazil.
All in all, a very fun and interesting game. It’s worth noting the Allies did have good dice a number of times. Villars is a great both player and sport. Thanks for the fun game Villars and I look forward to playing you again sometime!

    Frank-the-Tank (Allies) defeats Jeffschultz32 in Round 16.
Russia felt relatively early to Japan, but Allies had strong control over the seas and Africa. Economics then allowed Allies to slowly grind Axis until the point Tokyo felt on Round 15 to USA.

A super close and intense game up until the 10th round when Axis surrounded Caucus with both German and Japanese armies. Although Russia could easily have handled one of those armies, the threat of both at the door caused the Russian army to retreat to Moscow. The two Axis armies joined forces in West Russia for a few rounds before Japan consolidated enough power to force a Russian retreat/surrender in round 16.

  • A brutal game between Vahe345(Axis) and Eboy (Allies) has ended in a win for the latter. Could have gone both ways. We had to fight for the axis bid, both wanted it badly, so it was a record low 6 bid for Germany, 1 tank in Africa. Axis got off to a good start, as Russia failed to take Karelia on R1. UK stacked the northern front quite fast, with backup from Russia. Was stuck in EE for many rounds, factory didn't come before round 10. Japan almost held Kazakh in the deciding rounds, but russia with help of kamikza US air took it by a small margin. A sneak attack on Anglo-Egypt killed off the jap airforce at a vital time a few rounds before. Thank you for the game - was a tough challenge for me. Good luck in next tournament. vahe.tsvg
