Trouble uploading pictures

In the last 2 days it appears something has gone wrong with uploading pictures.
Not sure if this is just me or a site issue.
Keeps telling me...
"Error
Something went wrong while parsing server response"

Looks like the forum server is simply not strong enough to handle all the traffic. I'll try restarting the whole server to see if that helps, and if it doesn't, we'll need to upgrade the hardware.

@redrum It's a little bit more complex than that. During the last update of the forum software I had to upgrade node.js from v6 to v10 for it to work.
However a silent error sneaked in: The newer nodebb version didn't recompile some binary dependencies (that are required for image processing), therefore the server had an internal server error for image uploads (the server compresses images) and uploads didn't work.
So all I had to do is recompile the dependencies using the newer node.js version. There were some complications having to do with write permissions in certain folders, but now everything is working again. -
@RoiEX That up vote was for the work to make things work... I scarcely understood a word of it otherwise.

in my years of forums they've been attacked a bunch of times in many ways and sometimes they use a thread breaker type of script that floods a post kind of thing I hope it wasn't something like that. Internet = trolls
my least favorite are spam bots with advertising posts
