Preferred SMTP service for email games

What SMTP service do most people use for email games? Is it usually separate from their actual personal emails they register with MARTI? Sorry I am learning all this to then teach my friends.

I cannot speak for 'most people' but my impression is that many people use a separate email-address for MARTI - mail. Personally I do it, too, as I would not want my regular e-mail account(s) be flooded with dice server mails.
For MARTI currently protonmail or gmx are recommended.

@Panther I appreciate your reply. For the SMTP server and port what do you enter if using Protonmail? Protonmail talks about generating a SMTP token, but I need a domain name to do it? Still learning here, just unsure as of yet how this all works

I think when you DL triplea it takes you to the new release now. I'm not sure. I haven't gotten it yet. If not you should be able to find it here

There's a major transitioning happening right now. So best to start over with the new dice server and latest release. Some of the older information will become obsolete.
