Is there a ledger mod?
-
I'm fairly new to Triple-A. Given all the information it gives you in game, i'm surprised there is not a ledger that can give you a turn by turn kill and loss count. I created a ledger in excel for my last game so I could have a sense of how many units I will killing and losing in comparison to the enemy's and my own production capacity. Is there a mod that does this?

@RyansPlace In the pre-release, there is a new statistics feature that provides several different graphs: https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/1660/game-statistics-page. This will be included in the next release. You can test it out by downloading the latest pre-release here: https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releases

As this section is about "specific Maps and Mods", this topic surely doesn't belong in here, nor in Mapmaking. Since the feature is already there and this is mostly asking about its existence, moved to Player Help.
I'm very unsure what you mean by "mod" but, in TripleA, traditionally "mods" are modifications of maps that keep the same map as the original, or are compatible with it. Like, for example, "WAW 1940" is a mod of "World At War". Just letting you know what "Maps & Mods" means.
-
@Cernel I thought mods were moderators?
-
@SilverBullet Well there are "mods" as in "modifications" and there are "mods" as in "moderators".
Both terms are pretty common, and they really depend on context. -
@RoiEX For simplicity's sake lets just change Moderators name to Military Police.

Both terms are pretty common, and they really depend on context. The term "mod" for games using existing maps has, however, lost most of its meaning since the developers have turned all external mods into stand-alone maps.
Moreover, there is no actual way to tell apart mods from original games within maps offering multiple games, as nothing is referencing what is the main game, amongst multiple, if even there is a main game at all.
Finally, I don't know how common the term is for regular users. For example, do most regular users think to "Revised LHTR" as it being a mod of "Revised"? I doubt it.
So, maybe, it would be better to discontinue the use of the term "mod", also in forum sections, changing the current section from "Maps & Mods" to just "Maps", or "Maps & Mapskins".
That would also cut down confusion with "Mod" as in "Moderators".
Off topic, of course, but since anyways now we are talking mostly about this in here...
-
@SilverBullet Well, anyways, as @RoiEX points out, I think context should assure that, for example, the current section description "Talk about and work on specific Maps and Mods" should not be intended for "talking about and working on specific maps and moderators".
But I agree it's not good having a same word officially meaning two different things, anyways.

@Cernel at least I don't think of myself as an MP (military police), them guys are tough and mean! I am more like Barney Fife!
P.S. if talking about a Moderator, a cap "m" means a Moderator a small m is a mod for a game.
