@Hepps: Mountain bonus for Italians/ Alpini.. good idea... hej your units especially the sniper, sas & alpini look really really good ... I know by now it can be difficult to get such clear and smooth result in this small 48x48 pixels ! you make them yourself? you have my interest on Global Dominance... Total War was allready impressive... ( ps: Guerilla instead of Geurilla I suppose; coming from the Spanish: Guerra = war / Guerilla : little war
)@joseph price: thnxs for suggestions.... yes I am gonna give the ANZAC a commando style unit: rangers for in the jungle & desert...... and your CV-33 is better! thnxs
Thanks, I thought they all turned out good. Yes I made them myself.

Some additional new territories you should add: Serbia-Macedonia (lower part of Yugoslavia) effectively cutting Yugoslavia in half and insuring Greece survives for at least 1 turn before German units reach it. Greece itself could also be cut into Northern Greece and Peloponnese (Southern Greece) and lastly Crete which would make the campaign there more interesting. Generally a lot of areas in the balkans (Slovakia Hungary could be made into just slovakia and hungary, Greater South Germany could be split into Czechia/Bohemia and Austria). In the pacific Borneo should be split in half between the British and Dutch into Borneo and Malaya. Back to Europe, some of the neutral nations like Turkey and Spain could be divided into multiple territories. Otherwise the map looks good. I'm excited to play it come 15 december!

Hej Joseph Prince, thanxs for the suggestions, yes one can easily continue eternally how to get the ultimate map concerning territories...
my first goal was to have a map with minimum chaos of stacking pieces: for this made this map where on every main territory at least 6 to 9 units can be placed in order... On the scale I choose it is allready a challenge in europe and the map is allready adapted to this with a oversized europe. To have more key points I added the cities with overflow boxes ... your suggestions make sense... but in the scale I choose I had to make choices between essential territories still playing key rolls after march / april 1941... that's why I don't have a seperate Crete for example and choose for Malta Sicily and Cyprus instead. Splitting more territories in Europe is not possible anymore with units space in this maps' scale... Borneo is still one I might consider.. -
ANOTHER HELP REQUEST: How add a condition to a WhenCapturedGoesTo- option:
I like to make a condition on this option: to check if at least one of its main
territories/or capital is still in controlof this player. So imagine for example:
All of USSR is lost but a far east territory will get liberated it is to little benefit for the Russians to get these UP's in that case better to give it to the liberator:Does anyone see a possibility to add a Condition check in a territories'When captured goes to option?( without creating a massive amount of code? )
So a combination in given Example territory:
<attachment name="conditionAttachmentUssrOwnCapital" attachTo="Russians" javaClass="RulesAttachment" type="player"> <option name="directOwnershipTerritories" value="Moscow" count="1"/> </attachment>combined with:
<attachment name="territoryAttachment" attachTo="Kamsjatka" javaClass="games.strategy.triplea.attachments.TerritoryAttachment" type="territory">
<option name="whenCapturedByGoesTo" value="British:Russians"/>
<!-- depending on condition Moscow is Russian controlled-->
<option name="whenCapturedByGoesTo" value="Americans:Russians"/>
<option name="whenCapturedByGoesTo" value="ANZAC:Russians"/>
</attachment>Any ideas / suggestions how I could solve this?
Thansk a lot and ofcourse all credits in this game for the genius fixing this

Hmm ... been lookin at this. I guess Idk how triplea works where your allies get the PUs when they liberate your TTy and your capital is occupied. I don't see any property's to activate. Maybe it's hard wired ?
Anyway, if your capital is occupied, you won't get the dough when your ally liberates one of your TTys. It'll go to the liberator.

This shouldn't be that difficult.
-
@belee: yes, it almost gets philosophical:
to what extend is liberator the new occupater?
@Hepps: indeed should be easy: but not for me: haha... as I cannot find an example I will give it a try..... hints or clues welcome

(--> my approach: to make transparant months and seperate year images, then see if I can create a zone for their placement, do I need a fixtional player for it? I could use the one I have for FlyoverOnly territories.... then the changing of should be the easiest part ... )
-
@ebbe I think the easiest way would be to make the date boxes each a territory with one placement in them each (one for month and one for year) with no territory connections. Then add "units" for all the months and year combinations to the first player of the turn. Then add triggers to remove and place the date units each game turn.
*** You could also just create an entirely separate faction named Calendar who goes first each turn that has no real phases to its turn ***

@ebbe And if it matters... the Canadian flag you have was not created until 1967... the defacto flag for Canada during WWII was...

-
I would suggest using this flag's circle version as well.

-
-
@Hepps: oooow that is bad news; 1967.. that is a long time after...... I got really affectioned with the Red leaf flag, and th correct one resembles lot like China 's one on small scale...hmmmmm maybe I add a disclaimer for the Canadia community...
@Schulz : in this case also simply more correct the version you propose, but also here I am really having a heart time for the red black cross... resembling a bit of the swastika flag that I didn't want to put on dispaly ofcourse... I think about it...
-
As tooltips on units do show movement left and oil use they do not (yet) show terrain effect: it is nice to know what consequences a for example a heavy armour suffers when being ordered into a swamp, BEFORE the battle occurs..

I made a very short info panel behind the terrain effect Symbol , in the low bar....

terrain effects involved:
hills-desert-forest-mountain-jungle-marshes-winter (seasonal) -

I'm not sure you'd need a disclaimer. I doubt any Canadians would be offended. (We are a painfully polite people after all) I was just letting you know.
-
@Hepps Haha.... I feared that... but hej :
we gave the Canadians a really Snow Winter.... isn't that something too?anyway: Calender fixed: was indeed quite easy...
moving on to some basic tutorials for testing people..... and partisans as this was still not the way I hoped it could/would.should work -
15 December is only 10 days away now!

I was looking at the German special unit and it seems weird that it is pointed up and away, when every other unit is pointed down and towards...

So I made a variation for you to use if you want to...

-
@hepps: wow, thanx.... I admire your graphical skill! nice.. yes looks much better.... and about the snow fall: check out the white stuff timing in Oil and Snow... local knowledge is appreciated

@JOSEPH-PRINCE : I need a bit more days as some unexpected delay has come my way... health issues..anyway... I promise you no later than 22 dec. and I remind you : project still in progress
