Currently, any player not receiving one of the anthems at start turn or not having a start turn sound gets defaulted playing the terrible screeching siren sound (which should actually be only the "start game" sound, but it is used as "start turn" sound if there is not such a sound). I was wondering if someone could find sort of a "generic" anthem, which could work as a sorf-of-anthem for any "nation" not having an anthem, or whatever kind of sound that would do good (or better than the screeching siren) as a generic start turn sound? I don't think it is needed to be really general, just something fitting for WW2 only (as the screeching siren itself does not fit for anything before WW1).

Practically, first we would need to find a sound, agree that the sound is both good to hear and effective at getting the player's attention (because one of the functions of the start turn sound is telling the player to do its turn in case he/she's distracted), then a developer would need to do whatever it is needed to change the program.

I assume the sound should be public domain.

For an example of what I mean, start one of the latest TripleA (for example, TripleA 2.7.15566), select "World War II Global 1940 2nd Edition", enable "Tech Development" (You need this because of a problem.), assign everything to yourself and keep skipping every phase. You will hear the German anthem, then the Russian anthem, then the Japanese anthem, then the American anthem, then the Chinese anthem, then the British anthem, then the Italian anthem, then the AZAC anthem, then the French anthem. This is an example of a game which works well (beside maybe the fact that the British anthem is played twice, but there are reasons).

However, if you instead do the same with "World At War", you will have the screeching siren sound when you get to "Yamamoto" and for various other players who do not have anthems. What I mean here is having kind-of-an-anthem or some musical substitute for the anthem which would fit for anyone not having an actual anthem. No idea myself.
