New Maps Admin capabilities - add Map Attributes & approve/disable maps

Naming it "Aggression 1914 Expanded" when it has fewer territories and nations than "Aggression 1914" would look weird, I think.

I want it to be more realistic, with fewer units and rules than the other WWI scenarios as much as possible, so a name that reflects that would be great.

Its name is my least concern right now, honestly.

Being aesthetically pleasing to look at, having correctly drawn territories, offering endless replayability, being suitable for both PvE and PvP, and being fast-paced are what's actually more important.

Why not remove the current Aggression 1914, since it has none of it, and use its name instead?

I noticed that the map I submitted "Larry_Harris_Gencon" is saying the description.html is missing, even though there is a file. I have approved it.

When I open the file to edit it it says

We’ve detected the file encoding as windows-1252. When you commit changes we will transcode it to UTF-8.

I wonder if it does not like something in the text. Maybe copy it to say notepad and paste it back in to the description.html ?

I cannot logon to

then click on admin logon (top right, Im an admin for this, done it many times before)

It then goes to
https://prod.triplea-game.org/oauth2/start?rd=/support/maps/status
I get a 404

Can someone please fix this as I wanted to approve a new map

@TheDog I was having the same error. I tried to approve the map as well but I cannot login. I already told Dan about this via Discord. He hasn't been online in a while, he might be travelling.

I see someone approved, global_40_expansion_uhd_boxes but I am still unable to login, receiving a "404 Not Found" error.

I updated the repo yesterday but that was all.

I think it's all automated these days. Idk. I don't do the yaml thing anymore.

Yea Idk the latest procedure but what I did was update the repo for UHD Boxes https://github.com/triplea-maps/global_40_expansion_uhd_boxes and that was all.

That's what I basically do all the time when I do an update. I rarely would do the yaml thing and now, within a couple of hours of doing the update, it's available in the lobby, so Idk.

I did do an update the previous day and found an error, hence the latest one. I doubt that would cause any issues though.

Maybe @thedog Knows ? I believe he has similar access as you.

AFAIK this is true.

I cannot sign in to this page as an Admin, I get 404, I used to be able to, I fixed about 13 maps, but none that Roger had uploaded.

AFAIK only @lafayette can fix this.

We need access to approve new map uploads so that TripleA downloads will work.

There are at least 2+ new maps waiting for approval/fixing/testing.
