    @galendae you do realize we have logs right? the only person telling people to fuck off was you. i understand you wer upset with what you perceive was trolling of ur game but that doesn’t warrant the abusive stance you took with @wirkey everyone here is a volunteer and must be impartial when it comes to taking actions. the proper course would have been for you to show evidence the other player wasn’t just confused as you assert instead of berating the person u r seeking help from

    Instructions for Mac users. First decide where you will put your additional copy of TrippleA, ideally with a version specific name. I put mine in the Applications folder under my user home directory like this: /Users/simonhibbs/Applications/TrippleA_27_15256 Download the DMG file from the release in GitHub as above. Go to your downloads directory and find the dmg file, something like this: [image: 1769353101970-848a4f00-3a21-4437-975b-b54ea8f448d5-image.png] Double-click the dmg file and it will open a folder view. This is because dmg files are disk images so it treats it like a drive or folder: [image: 1769353335414-8dac1698-eca2-4859-8fbd-b256f36ff6d7-image.png] Do not run this. Click-hold and drag the TrippleA.app file from the dmg window into the directory you prepared in step 1. You can now run this copy of TripleA by just double-clicking on the .app file in the folder. The first time this will probably be blocked by the OS. If so, open System Settings and go to Privacy & Security, and you should see a warning like this below. Click on Open Anyway, but only do this if you understands what you are doing and where you got the file from. Please use your own discretion. [image: 1769354177315-ba4bf360-535e-42a4-bc2a-5d7ad3c7b325-image.png] NOTE: This separate version of the game will use the same Engine Settings as any other version on your Mac. This means it will use the same downloadedMaps directory and savedGames folder.

    @wc_sumpton Yeah, the 2.7 version has a lot of visual issues. I just opened the 2.5 version, it's great.

    @beelee Thanks to all. I figured it out. I was looking at History. I had to go back to Current Game (Ctrl-G) to get the Action tab to come back up. Hadn't noticed that UI nuance. Makes sense why it is does that. I just didnt know what I had done to make it go away. I relaunched the game to make it come back. But then I saw next time what had happened. Apologies for the unnecessary question. Appreciate the quick responses. BTW, I was playing AA50.

    @panther thanks for responding, I tried searching but couldn't find anything before posting. I basically figured out it when typing a response. TripleA version is 2.522294. OS is Windows 11. TripleA is exclusively using the Display Scale settings for Monitor 1, but I have Monitor 2 set to my main monitor and that's where TripleA is launched and displayed. So basically, it renders based on Windows 11 display for Monitor 1. I'm not sure if there's a way around that within TripleA.

    Hi @bamaackbar Welcome to the site ! 2.5 should have the auto save feature as well. When you fire up triplea, hit Saved Game, then autoSave. It will have a large list of games depending on how much you play. I've never been able to figure out how it orders them, so I just scroll through and look for the correct date or time. Since you like playing Global 40, I suggest trying it on BlackElks UHD map with the Frostion units. UHD World War II Global Have Fun gaming

    Sidenote: As usual TripleA comes with a bundled Java, that is independent from a maybe system-wide installed Java. So no one needs to take any action (apart from installing TripleA of course). Also note that Windows-32bit-builds no longer are distributed and supported. This starts with TripleA 2.7.15007 (of May 2nd, 2025).

    To leave the apostrophe in the name, replace it with an underscore in the objectives file. Thus "Fading Light of V'landriel" becomes "Fading_Light_of_V_landriel".

    Also, adding an empty <technology></technology> section will remove the "Technology" tab.

    From what I remember, as Im not a fan of Objectives, as the AI does not understand them.

  • Hello,

    A friend of mine has created a mod of a fantasy world of their creation. We are trying to figure out how to see the "Objectives" Tab and add objectives to it. I've spend an exorbitant amount of time trying to figure it out and I am dumb. The mod is fully functional and we are testing the "balance" in various game runs, but we just can't wrap our heads around Objectives currently. I will say I haven't tested to see if they even work, but without the Objectives tab there's no way for the players to see it visually so I wanted that fixed first. I've looked on the forums here and seen about naming conventions with the map.yml file matching mapName in the game xml file. I've tested both with and without underscores in the name within the objective properties file to no avail. I sourced from other mods to see what their code says and nothing seems to line up simply. I even went from the current stable 2.5 version to the current 2.7 version as of today, 5/5/26. I just can't figure it out. I'm uploading the current iteration of the mod that functions, including the nonfunctioning objectives properties file and objectives in the game xml file.
