@deltium I'm not aware of any PBEM glitches. Can you point to where those are reported so we can make sure to get them resolved.

Just for clarification, either PBF (Play by Forum) or PBEM (Play by Email) can be used. PBF may be a bit easier for some of you that are new to non-live games, and here is a good link to examine:

Also, playing live is allowed, but in the event that either player does not want to play live, then PBF or PBEM is required.

I'd like to be considered. I played in TOC at previous clubs and even ran some tourneys. I would consider myself slightly above average- if not that's cool and best of luck to those that do play!

Welcome aagamer - sure, we can certainly add you to the list. The sum of participants is now 12 people, and I expect a few of the "vets" to respond shortly, indicating a high likelihood that we'll kick this baby off mid-to-late September.
Separately, I've had a few questions from people about speed of play. While I would prefer that everyone try to make a turn a day, I understand that some people have very demanding jobs and personal lives, so a move every other day is acceptable, but please try your best to move no later than once every other day.

All - a positive update. We are now ABOVE 16 players, and we can definitely launch this tournament. As I would like to include everyone that signed-up, I am planning to have a preliminary round (like in in the NCAA March Madness tournament), where we have a few lesser-known or intermediate players play each other, to narrow the field to 16.
If you have not done so already, please send me your email address, so that I can send a mass email to all of the final participants.
Anticipated start date = late September, as I am on vacation now, but will start this tournament as soon as I return.

Hello Everyone - as of this moment, we officially have 22 participants. I will send out today an email to everyone that has registered so far. I will accept registration through Friday, September 22nd, and after that, registration will be closed.
On Saturday, September 23rd, the bracket will be officially posted, along with initial pairings, and you may begin immediately thereafter. Given that we have over 16 participants, some of you may be in a qualifying bracket.
As stated previously, either PBEM (play by email) or PBF (play by forum) is allowed. If you have any further questions, please feel free to write to me directly at 5683deltium@gmail.com
