        @rogercooper

        I suggest making a git issue. I don't think any devs will see this or it'll be a while until they do.

            The issue was really helpful. It was helpful because:

            • the screenshot and marked lines really made it clear exactly where/what the problem was. I think I would have been hunting around in the map-maker menus for a while before locating where the missing button was supposed to be. I think that screenshot saved probably about 15 to 20 minutes, maybe more if we were spared turnaround time. For context, the overall fix I think took about 30 minutes, saving 15 minutes on that is huge! It's would have been 50% slower without the screenshot.

            • the issue was short, to the point; I could have given this to a first-time contributor and they could have essentially just jump in without having to read pages and pages of background information*. There is often little difference between the old-time and first-time contributors, having an issue be nicely set up for a first-time contributor indicates a good thing. (In other words, if it's difficult for the beginner, it's probably also difficult for the old timers too; just they are used to having to do extra steps)

              • building on the above point, if an issue is short & to the point, it's easy to delegate. That is awesome, because it means that we can distribute the work.
            • it's easy to track issues, they get a solid "closed", and we can filter them by "which ones are assigned to me", and we can label them to indicate their state, and we can group them to be part of milestones, or projects. Further, we can reference issue numbers in commit and they link up automatically everywhere, from the code to issue and vice versa

            * edit: not that there was pages and pages here, but in some issues/threads - there is! Short and to the point is perfect for issues.

              It was really helpful knowing a known good version too! This and the screenshot and the terse statement of the problem were kinda perfect 😄
