I Cant Get Into Online Play After Downloading 2.7 Version

Ive been playing TripleA for a few years now, and someone i play with often suggested i download the newest version so we could play together, but once I did, I can no longer log in to Online Play, ive put in my Username and Password, and even tried to make a new account, but nothing has worked. Anyone have any thoughts that might help?

Welcome to the forum.
I cannot test it right now, but IIRC the 2.7 lobby is different from the 2.5 lobby.
So you need to register there anew.
However, I vaguely remember that the 2.7 lobby currently is not 'productive'.
So in case you want to play in the lobby you need to stick to the old version.Anyone can confirm that?

yea I used to be able to log in to the 2.7 lobby. It was a work in progress though. I thought some of the older games worked on it OK but I don't think it had any bots last time i checked.
But just now I get this error
so no it doesn't work. Although it says ubuntu in my case, so maybe windows is different.
@Jason-Austin anyway, I suggest keepin 2.5 for lobby play and use 2.7 for PBF
You can have more than 1 triplea installed.

@jason-austin @Panther @beelee the 2.7 lobby currently has a network socket error or some such @LaFayette is aware of it and i believe he stated it was high on his list of priorities but basically nobody else can fix it at the dev chat last sunday.
btw everyone is invited to participate! not sure if it’s set by GMT or US time but it’s sundays at 10 am pacific i belie also there is a time shift happening this sunday so
