MARTI dice service website issues?

I'm trying to get myself and my friends onboarded to using TripleA and doing a email game but the MARTI dice services website is not sending confirmation emails. Is this site down? Is this a known issue?

As Panther said, it's most likely your email provider. I know protonmail and gmx both work.

Some less than great news: With the imminent next release, MARTI will not be working right away. It'll be a few weeks to get it back up. The old MARTI server needs to be shut down as soon as we can, it's the single biggest expense to TripleA and we need to turn it off.

So forum games won't work then I assume ? Is there a work around if so ?

@LaFayette i think we need to maintain it at least for some amount of time and give ample warning everywhere we can this is going to break a lot of in progress games

@LaFayette i would think at least until the new one is ready to go but at any rate we need to come up with (a) date(s) and announce it as many places as we can

The old dice server is too expensive to keep running. The replacement is available, but does not seem to work very well yet. With luck the gap of when the new one is working well compared to when the old is turned off will be short.

@LaFayette ok i think we rly need to have a little overlap/warning for all the games/players that are already in progress we cannot assume everyone knows whats going on

@beelee we don't get that much money and the money we do get should stop going to a $25/month server when that could pay for half of all the rest of TripleA for a full month. We NEED to stop paying that.
For replacement, labor is needed. Labor/time is all far too expensive to reasonably buy, so volunteer efforts and people helping coordinate, test and validate is all really helpful.
The new dice server is already live at: https://dice.triplea-game.org/, the latest TripleA uses that dice server. Give it a try, it might mostly work just fine. AFAIK its emails go to spam, but are sent.

@LaFayette $25 a month will seem like a bargain if we don’t give folks warning abt this imo
giving some reasonable amount of warning will more than pay for itself in terms dealing with the confused masses alone

@LaFayette when is the next billing cycle for that server? i’d be willing to pay for an extra month on top of that just to avoid the headaches i’m sure will ensue if we give zero warning abt unplugging marti.
i feel like that’s at least a reasonable amount of warning, honestly i think at least 3 months would be ideal as some folks have games that go kinda slow.
@nothingtoseehere fyi might want to get ur tech/politics roll done if you know what they are i have no idea how imminent this is.

@LaFayette wait i guess missed the last bit of that we just need to enter that new address in the old versions and they should still work?

Oh, well I have misunderstood the situation then. If the new dice server is already up and running, then we just need to notify people to switch to it.

When I click Report To TripleA I get this:
TripleA freezes at that point, and I need to kill it via the Task Manager.

@lafayette Considering there seem to be some kinks with the new server ( see @panther's post), is the old server still there for the time being?
