    Where to get started creating new units for Global 1940 Mod3? Would like to add Mechs. Thanks.

      I'd like to add some different unit types specifically Mech to spice up the global game, I'm looking for tutorial

        Pact of Steel 2 xml explains it. In case you're not familiar with the map structure, go to your downloaded maps folder ( should be in your triplea folder) and open up Pact of Steel ( you'll need to dl it) Keep opening folders until you get to games. The pos2 xml will be in there.

        The units folder is where the images are stored.

        What type of mech unit do you want to add ?

          Plan to add new tech charts as well. Would love to be able to keep tech tokens instead of losing them when you discover technology.

              You'll need to open a feature request, for this. A thing you can do now is to have units that automatically produce tokens each turn (and you can purchase and place such units), and set the tokens to be always removed when researching.

                Why couldn't you just make your "Tech Tokens" a resource that you never spend on anything but advancements? Then make an additional trigger that automatically gives back the same ammount of the resource when you discover the appropriate tech?

                  Thanks for the input. I'm going to figure this out.

                  My goal for tech on the Global1940 mod would be to only loose tokens when tech is discovered per token and keep remaining tokens. I'd like to be able to develop tech on multple tech charts at the same time and be able to discover more than one tech per turn. Land/Air/Sea

                  I'm going thru the information and hope to test something out soon, thanks again.

                    @loki17 Both discarding only tokens successfully rolled and researching more than one tech at once with tokens are not supported. You need a developer to implement any such features.

                    Maybe @Panther can check this, as I've scarce interest in tech, but I believe the only ruleset that allows getting more than 1 tech per turn is Classic (v1).

                      That's correct.

                      Don't always trust TripleA when it comes to rules questions. Know the rules before you start … and better check what TripleA has done.
