@nothingtoseehere @Panther yeah i can confirm my yahoo account was receiving the marti emails (marking as spam) i didn't see them till yesterday because my email client wasn't syncing properly with my junk mail folder for some unknown reason.

Small update. The longer the game went on the fewer dice mails arrived on my gmail account until none of them arrived. I do get them on my other account so it kind of works for now.

Idk if it's relatedI think I know why this error occurs on my system. I recently got a message from Google that they won't allow third-party apps that only require a username and password and use SMTP technology to use Gmail. They recommend using apps that allow you to sign in with Google, which TripleA can't do at the moment as far as I know. Can this be changed in future versions of TripleA?

When you Play by Email, TripleA acts like an Email-Software, that needs to be configured to send out emails from your Gmail-account. When your account to send from is a Google account you not only need to setup TripleA with your Gmail account details but you need to allow "less secure apps" in your Google account security settings. So this is about sending mails.
That is an old issue.
MARTI on the other hand sends out emails 'itself'. The emails in question in this topic go TO GMail addresses. So this is about receiving mails.
It might of course be that MARTI all of a sudden became somehow incompatible with correctly sending out mails to mail-recipients. -

Well, there is the relation that Keine Andeutung is in fact my GitHub account. So I seem to be one of the few people currently trying to use the automatic posting functionality with a Gmail account. It seems that Google's decision to shut down access to Gmail from 3rd party apps that only log in with username and password blocks TripleA users off from automatically posting their PBEM-turns. If anyone got the functionality to work with the Gerneric SMTP option I would appreciate instructions on how to make it work. Otherwise posting manually will be the easiest workaround for now. As Panther correctly pointed out all this doesn't really relate to the MARTI issues, but I think it's good info anyway. Maybe a mod can move it elsewhere. Maybe somewhere in the 'How to PBEM thread'.

@LaFayette @redrum @Panther @beelee i wonder if MARTI is using gmail specific code for gmail recipients that rule should not impact receiving emails only sending

@ubernaut I doubt it. Most likely if there is an issue (I've not confirmed or tested anything here) its that there is some error occurring on the MARTI server when sending the email or the email provider is marking the email as spam or rejecting them.

Idk where to post this but it's going here lol. What emails are people using for a Play By Forum game ? I made a new "Outlook" one and they locked me out a couple days later because i didn't give a phone number. Yea right
Gmail doesn't work. Hotmail is microsoft as well. I used to have a "mail.com" i guess i could try them again, but I didn't like them either lol
I thought I saw a post suggesting one, but can't find it. I'm gonna use 2.5 and send the emails back and forth.
