Have in Game Dice Roller Show in History
-
Right on. Thanks for the reply. Obviously there are more important things to do

We use it quite a bit in the "UHD Boxes" mod. We trust each other and just post screenshots of the results so one can see what was rolled. So it works fine as is.
Just a thought

@beelee i must be missing something here which rolls are not shown in the history?

Hi Panther
Yea I'm referring to the in game Dice Roller for when you need to handroll to be rule compliant. Similar to using dicebot at the other site.

-
@beelee Ah, I see. That would be very cool, indeed, as it would make players independent from any forum dicey. As far as I remember in PBF that specific roll is done by MARTI, too, isn't it? And in local games by the local dicey. Something to test ....
I was a bit confused before, as my above screenshots show rolls that were all done by the ingame dice roller and documented in the game history.
I concur, that would be a very welcome feature, indeed!
-
Oh Idk about PBF using Marti for it. I never look at the Marti email rolls myself

But yea, that would be good to know. It would provide a record then, even if not as easy access
-
@beelee I have just tested it and I was correct: In PBF/PBEM this specific roll is executed by MARTI indeed. So that would really make a lot of sense.
-
oh way cool ! I would have never thought to even check it

This is a good suggestion and I would like to see it too. The current manual roller is local only, so logging it will need the upcoming network and history overhauls first.

I get the appeal of having manual rolls in history. For quick out-of-game rolls, Iโve been using https://dice.onl for its simple interface and custom sides โ itโs handy when I just need a fast result without syncing concerns. For in-game integration, LaFayetteโs points about the upcoming ledger system make sense, but Iโd still love to see this feature added eventually.
