Forum will be down for about 10 minutes or so. Hopefully not longer. Around 19:40 PDT (imminent)

          Upgrades done.

          • [routine] Forum is migrated from 4.10 to 4.15
          • [major] The MongoDB database backing the forums was swapped out, migrated to a Postgres database

Earlier today I did a server restart and the forums crashed and stayed down. Mongo is not compatible with the latest OS (kernel) patch. Postgres is a very boring database, boring is good, it's solid and wont' flake out so easily due to OS intricacies. For that reason I migrated.

On postgres, it'll be easier to clean up orphaned image files, helping us out with disk space.

Still doing a couple settings tweaks, I'm expecting a couple server restarts in the next 30 minutes. Should be pretty brief, one or two minutes.

@beelee That's CSS failing to load. A 'hard' refresh should work. Usually that shift or control held down while refresh

                      Two important configs landed.

                      1. new users will be required to confirm an email address
                      2. some good anti-spam stuff. We should see drastically fewer spam registration requests.

I been seeing the spinning circle a bit more frequently ever since the Big June update.

I know the other site gets hammered pretty hard sometimes. I think Djensen got some counters but sometimes they still get through.
