Power of Politics 1914 : A WWI scenario

@Schulz Yes all territory valuations are complete.
However I think we shall save the remaining screen shots for the release. Between the starting financial and military distribution as well as the seasonal effects... I want you to have something to be excited about.

-
But here is a screenshot from a less significant area of the globe...

-
Just a little update... with all the basic stuff done this map is now moving into the final phases of development...
Get ready to get your Diplomacy on... it's gett'n hot in here!

-
Teaser...

-
A blessed day off... so I work on something other than work...

-
@Hepps this is looking very interesting

-
@ubernaut Glad to see we've got your attention.

-
Even the neutral Italians are ready for the inevitable war to come...

-
Austro Hungarians on the move...

-
@Hepps "Northern Hungarian Plains" is very much to the east of Budapest, as is the rest of the Hungarian Plains. To the west, the Transdanubia region is mostly covered in little hills and valleys (not big enough for a territory effect). A better but still mildly strange name would be "Nortern Carpathian Basin" (?) or even just "Northern Hungary", although Budapest touching Transylvania is upsettingly weird regardless of naming. They're nearly two hundred miles apart.

But a rare and biased phenomenon called a "Hungarian eye" might percieve what makes an interesting game as disturbing... -
@alkexr I agree that the placement is a bit wonky...

When you really look at it the issue is how I had to "persuade" Budapest to being in Southern Hungary based on how the original map was created. (Bear in mind I simply altered this map to the best of my abilities without starting from scratch). I was trying to stop the Austrians from having 2 high PU value territories (with established production facilities) directly connected.

@Hepps Budapest is closer to Vienna than Transylvania. However, Budapest should not start with a factory. The Hungarian government opposed the war and had not prepared for war. Why does this thinly populated Carpathian mountains receive the same income as industrialized Bohemia, the heart of the Austrian arms industry.

Yes as stated, trying to fit Budapest into the existing map was a challenge given that I was trying not to have it adjacent to Vienna.
Bohemia should have likely been valued at 4. Will likely swap the value with Transylvania which is currently valued at 4.
I am all but certain there will be lots of changes once this is ready for play.

I think this is the only missing one @redrum
If you add this to the TWW folder we should be all good.

-
Well after finally having a day off... (from real work anyways)... some real progress has been made...

We have a functioning map with seasonal effects already working.
I think if you look closely at the name of the picture... you will know how I truly feel.

-
One more little glimpse...
Before...

After...

-
So pretty!!! All these latest glimpses got me way excited! Nice work man
-
@Black_Elk Team effort. @redrum has done a tremendous ammount of work... I am just far more excitable and have to share my enthusiasm.
The term 'kid in a candy store' comes to mind. -
@Hepps Not absolutely sure, but I believe that both in WW1 and WW2 there was not a seagoing-ships waterway between lake Ontario to the sea, thus Montreal was as far inland as ships from the Atlantic could get. I recall this being the main reason why Montreal was so much more important, back then, but be sure to verify if I'm correct or not.
-
@Cernel this map would seem to indicate that all the great lakes were connected to montreal via waterways as of about 1918:
