@LaFayette it appears like everything is runing ok today, checked out a few games in progress and no one has any issues. and i started a bot game and it worked.

shoot back to the invading forces of couse not the ships. All land units do the same thing.

@LaFayette i was in one where it froze and we tried to load saves but someone said they kept getting an error message, asked him to post it, but the game ended round 2,,, then i seen these people talking in the lobby how their multi froze. so i dont personally have any screen shots.

Its true Germany had an efficiency problem before mid 1943 because they were too late to exert total war economy and failed to efficiently profit from the occupied territories but they overcomed when Speer got in charge of German military production.

I don't think the Soviets could have outproduced Germany had the Western Allies remained neutral. Trucks, trains, food, aviation fuel, clothes, raw materials, medicine, military vehicles etc... all gave the Soviets to mostly focus on a few production areas whereas Germany was unable to do it because of also dealing with the Western Allies. Plus strategic bombing campaigns.

if you are seeing a large attack force coming, from a turn or two away, stack where you think the attack is going to land, use calculator to see what the out come will look like, if it looks real bad, run away and defend somewhere else.

@RyansPlace you can have the old lobby and the new lobby, just dont "overwrite" the old version, create a new version for the new lobby. it gives you a choice. but the old saves do not work in the new lobby.

Hmm, the ipv6 localhost might be a problem 🤔

Kinda grasping at straws.

On my machine I have:

127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 dan-xps # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts ::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback

Note that 'localhost' is only for the ipv4 address.

Thanks. Although it is curiouser and curiouser (to quote Lewis Carroll) why onezingy could get on but not others. He did text he downloaded the latest game engine if it matters.

Thank you for the reply. I acctually solved it by examining maps that had it in their map options, like "the Great War". Not(!) every map has that code line in it's xml file, but at least as long as the map is based on WW2V2 rules, you can add the option to limit battle rounds by adding the above code lines to the xml files, like so;

Find map in triplea/downloadedMaps/'map name' in map folder open file map/games/'map name'.xml find code section <propertyList> insert following code lines like image below;

Then you should be able to freely tweak battle rounds limit.
