@cernel Well what a VPN does is to redirect all of your internet traffic through the servers of the VPN provider. To express it with the NordVPN Documentation (not sponsored btw):

Port forwarding and triggering could work with a VPN protocol in general, but not with NordVPN.

So while there's nothing speaking against Port Forwarding with a VPN in general, your VPN provider would need to explicitly support it, i.e. forward all traffic they get on a certain port back to you.
But I'll update the description regardless, because you're right. This might be a common pitfall nowadays.

I'm using the prerelease as an example.

DL triplea you get this

Hit Properties

Hit Permissions
Hit Execute

Open terminal and put the triplea dl in it

I installed to a different directory, just added the pre number to the end of existing.
Click your way to Finish and hit that and it should fire up.

Anyway, hope it helps. If not we'll ask someone else 🙂

Also, I think triplea has java built into it for the right version when you DL it.

Gtk-Message: 21:39:24.846: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

This error shows up and I always click over it. Idk if that means anything.

Did it before and worked. Guess it might that java number. Take me a while to figure out how to revert it.

Anyway, as you said, this takes you straight to 2.5 now so ... f it lol Would be nice to know why it didn't work but w/evs : )

You are welcome. I won't delete this topic however, because it serves as a good example for a case where a change of a forum username is unproblematic and sensible.

Contacting a forum admin in that case is helpful. An admin will take a look and act. 🙂

Not the same as a live game, but it would be against other people.

This topic has been opened by @YakubianPatmos for a specific purpose, already sorted out, and anything else (whether somehow related or not) is therefore off topic.

In the specific case, @YakubianPatmos himself/herself admitted that he/she was in violation of the rules, and it looks to me (based on information not publicly available) that he/she certainly was (for more than just a slur), and now he/she is not banned any longer anyway.

To be clear, this is not a case of someone being banned without any proper reason: the ban has been confirmed but reduced in length so that it has already expired, so there's nothing left to do here.

I'm locking this Topic.

(If anyone believes that anything else should be discussed, feel free to open a new topic.)
