    @maniac One should not underestimate the achievements of the ladder people federation and their proud traditions. Several high ranking US presidential advisors have been ladder people and their advice has always been extremely valuable to the US. According to the "best bet rule" you can essentially do two things when looking for advice: You ask your smartest, most highly qualified and educated experts on the matter, but if they had like agreed on the subject unanimously then there would be no real problem finding a decision. You can also ask the most not-informed, stupid, is this English? , person around of any profession (chances of them really understanding the question are slim in any case) what would be the right course of action. The probability that the stupid people is so totally wrong that by doing the exact opposite of the stupid one's advice almost MUST be right.

    @jimbo right on. Yea sometimes it goes straight to the save if you're already on it and don't need to do that. happened to me when i first started using triplea : )

    the paths have changed in v2.6. from the triplea directory: gradlew :game-app:game-headed:portableInstaller you can list the different tasks available with: gradlew tasks

    Hi @indycris go to your "triplea" folder then "downloadedMaps", "world_war_ii_classic_master.zip", "world_war_ii_classic-master", "map", "games". Search xml for 'techAttachment" [image: Screenshot from 2021-04-24 06-12-10.png] Add the highlighted line to the Players. Obviously any number you want.

    @aarontica so it worked in 1.9 ? Probably best to make a bug report at git. https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/1708/how-to-submit-a-bug-report Hopefully it doesn't get buried. No 1.9 lobby anymore. I guess you can play local in 1.9 but...yea

    @mikawagunichi if you go to "Engine Preferences" when you start triplea and go to "Folders" you can move where the saves are at. Idk if you can turn it off

    Yes, you are supposed to place them in the "house name". It used to work, and now it does not. Are you going to report this problem?

    hi, never seen this game, installed just to try helping you but I cannot place too, it seems a bug because I have played so many games in TripleA and the process to place what you purchased is always the same, maybe this map is not working fine with recent tripleA version

    but there are so many other good games you can play with triplea !

    This is great finally found a Axis and Allies board game recreation that works properly, played this with all my brothers and cousins, now on computer,, Brilliant, many thanks.
    Question..
    I cant place the Lord unit that appears on the right, read through the manual, tried the keys and mouse clicks, tried my own variations, reread, looked up on net,, no info.

    SO how do you place the units in the house name, ? clicking in the house name with all the options doesnt work.

    Any help appreciated.
