@bayder My example is a bit more concerned with the opposite, where a CV is =100% able to pick up the plane after combat but not before. Me and Bayder and Rumrem had a few examples run in a bot. I think we came to these conclusions, correct me if I'm wrong: Any move that is 100% guaranteed to be possible after combat in LL is a legal move with the exception of where this results depends on picking planes as casualties as that would be kamikaze planes. I think I was a bit confused by the nature of the above example in the OP as it splits 2 planes from a carrier that can theoretically hold both of them. But one of them incidentally has to become a kamikaze plane, the mental conundrum now could be deciding which But thats a whole other thought experiment.

@zlefin actually the bots have a chance at 5 or 6 different auto-saves. "default save", before combat save, after combat save, etc. try them all before giving up on your game in a bot.

@hungry-coyote you mean you can play offline or you can join an existing bot and play, you just cant be the host of a bot?

I need it set at 150%, so if there is a way to change the game let me know.

addendum, the focus of the bug report I would intend to be that you were not able to submit an error report, and _not_that 'game-id' was null. Those are two different problems. The game-id problem is worth an error report. Though, it requires some investigation into the logs and is rooted somewhere in 2.5. I don't think I have bandwidth to do that, hence I would not bother cutting a ticket for the game-id being null problem beyond what you've reported here already.

@beelee Thank you, I will follow your advice. Recently I found out on some forums that people mentioned some websites and techloky has a lot of good game mods. I have tried to download and use it quite well. But I will follow the way people guide me here. Thank you very much.

Looks like this might be the thing to do: In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open. Don’t use Launchpad to locate the app. Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu. Click Open. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/apple-cant-check-app-for-malicious-software-mchleab3a043/mac

@silverbullet I never answered your question. I never moved beond 1940 global house rules. That might be enough ,=motivation for me to try to figure out java for easier ways to alter starting setup

Also, here is my recommendation for a stable 2.7 pre-release
    2.7.15256
    β–ͺ Faster than 2.5
β–ͺ Technology tab split from players tab on to its own tab. (Really good for 1888a & Total World War as they have lots of Tech)
β–ͺ Shows any map missing icons as a placeholder square icon.
β–ͺ Shows on status bar the relationship (war, neutral, allied) of territories (Really good in FFA maps)

  • @LaFayette

heh heh I was surprised I got it to work myself πŸ™‚

Yea I thought about going to 26.04 but it's pretty new, so decided stick with 24.04

and even though this isn't the right thread, my new install allows me to access the 2.5 lobby and the End Turn report shows up now.

So both of those were on my end.

  • That's impressive you got through to a working solution @beelee

FWIW; I have an "ansible" that does a linux desktop setup. You should be able to point an AI at it and ask "how do I configure git". The installer has a pretty complete list of steps for setup, an AI can crib from it:

    https://github.com/DanVanAtta/linux_setup

FWIW - I'm going to be playing around with Ubuntu 26.04 hopefully later today and will be exercising/testing that installer scripts (so, some README updates are likely to make it easier). I'm hoping Ubuntu 26.04 will fix the webcam on my laptop, hasn't work so far on prior Ubuntu's.
