    @RyansPlace you can have the old lobby and the new lobby, just dont "overwrite" the old version, create a new version for the new lobby. it gives you a choice. but the old saves do not work in the new lobby.

    Hmm, the ipv6 localhost might be a problem Kinda grasping at straws. On my machine I have: 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 dan-xps # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts ::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback Note that 'localhost' is only for the ipv4 address.

    Thank you for the reply. I acctually solved it by examining maps that had it in their map options, like "the Great War". Not(!) every map has that code line in it's xml file, but at least as long as the map is based on WW2V2 rules, you can add the option to limit battle rounds by adding the above code lines to the xml files, like so; Find map in triplea/downloadedMaps/'map name' in map folder open file map/games/'map name'.xml find code section <propertyList> insert following code lines like image below; [image: 1599734023005-battleroundslimited.png] Then you should be able to freely tweak battle rounds limit. Hope this thread is helpful to others as well Happy conquering!

    After intensively thinking I decided to make world map because it will be already possible to turn it into European map if somebody intend. [image: 1599485950175-project-kopya-resized.png] Different aspects which will separated it from most other WWII maps but mostly it will be with v3 units and rules. More realistic incomes: Germany and USA will be relatively more stonger Double Sea zones in English Channel: Giving Germany opportunity threataning Allies shippings with submarines and air units considering Germany will start with French factory and most sea territores will be blockade zones. German Mediterranean: Germany will touch Adriatic. Russian's "life of road": Lake Ladoga is connected to lake of Onega which connects to Barents sea. Russia will need naval presence on the lake to reinfore easily Leningrad. Russia will have a specific cheap naval unit for this task which transports and defends. Siberians: Russian special unit with 2/3 stats and 3 Pus cost but can be placed on only south siberian factories and Russia starts with Mongolia. The issue is I'am undecided about the starting date. First option is Germany-Italy starts on prior of Barbarossa and Japan prior of the attack on Pearl harbour timelines the other one is either December 1941 or May 1942.

    I have also noticed the failure to build factories recently. Something has changed. The problem with unbalanced builds is an old one. If you gave the AI a lot of money, it will build all planes. This should be an easy problem to fix, by just limiting planes to no more than half of units purchased.

    It'll be hard to say more until we know more about this problem. FWIW, save games have always required parts of the original map (for example territory names IIRC). There has been an attempt over time to reduce the dependency on an existing map, but for sure you do need a map to load a save game for that map. Name hacking will be unreliable but could work if you know what you're doing.

    To leave the apostrophe in the name, replace it with an underscore in the objectives file. Thus "Fading Light of V'landriel" becomes "Fading_Light_of_V_landriel".

    Also, adding an empty <technology></technology> section will remove the "Technology" tab.

    From what I remember, as Im not a fan of Objectives, as the AI does not understand them.

    In the xml, removed the apostrophe

    In map.yml removed the apostrophe and put quotes around the map name

  • Hello,

    A friend of mine has created a mod of a fantasy world of their creation. We are trying to figure out how to see the "Objectives" Tab and add objectives to it. I've spend an exorbitant amount of time trying to figure it out and I am dumb. The mod is fully functional and we are testing the "balance" in various game runs, but we just can't wrap our heads around Objectives currently. I will say I haven't tested to see if they even work, but without the Objectives tab there's no way for the players to see it visually so I wanted that fixed first. I've looked on the forums here and seen about naming conventions with the map.yml file matching mapName in the game xml file. I've tested both with and without underscores in the name within the objective properties file to no avail. I sourced from other mods to see what their code says and nothing seems to line up simply. I even went from the current stable 2.5 version to the current 2.7 version as of today, 5/5/26. I just can't figure it out. I'm uploading the current iteration of the mod that functions, including the nonfunctioning objectives properties file and objectives in the game xml file.
