I'm sorry to say that the problem doesn't seem to be resolved.
I saved the game at the beginning of South Africa's turn & started from there. South Africa's turn was computer operated.
I then took my turn again & the same error message popped up that I needed to finish a battle first which I didn't even try to do this time. Just thought that you would like to know.

@RmcDud I think I know how to fix your issue (although I don't know what might've caused it):
Could you post the content of your /etc/hosts file (or execute cat /etc/hosts in the terminal depending on what you prefer) and post the content here?
Adding or modifying a single line in this file could already fix your issue.

This is the alpha UI I'm currently working on, it does currently not work.
You should be able to go into the settings and disable the "use experimental UI" checkbox and restart triplea to get to the normal screen.

@otthawk1 There is lot of stuff to confuse the AI in that scenario, especially the system of upgrading recruits.

@general_zod Cool, just tested before the change to see the prompt and then after the change I no longer see it. So once that PR is merged you should be able to test it with the latest pre-release.

Since in some games the rules are actually that you should get the refund and there is an issue opened in GitHub about this matter (link in previous @Panther post), I'm moving this topic to Bug Reports.

@redrum I had "Ignore Sub In Movement" set to "true" and yet ships wouldn't ignore subs unless "Sub Control Sea Zone Restricted" was also set to "true."

Then I tested it again and got the opposite result. Maybe it was a glitch on my end, I don't know, but it's all working as intended now.

Yes I was referring to attachment names. I've noticed that certain features do not even acknowledge the attachment if formatted badly.

@tony Can you post the entire error message from that popup? Are you able to reproduce this error?

Yeah I had some difficulties recently with auto placement picker as well. It required a zip version of the map files in the end.

This and other zipping requirements are really cumbersome for mapmakers. Anyways I'm glad to see the other zip/load deal resolved.
