      I'm trying to revert it now. Hopefully it doesn't cause more problems.

      This is the second time a yaml error screwed everything up.

      I won't merge anything from now on unless it is from an existing map and the only change is the version number.

      There should be safeguards so this can't happen.

      One of the main differences is the double place phase. You will notice the Reich placed their Waffen Units in the first place phase.
      Any Units that are placed in the first place are immediately active that turn.

      @beelee I got it to work, thanks to your help!

      It turned out there were two territories still included in the place.txt that I wanted to remove from the module. I thought removing their place boxes would do the job but they actually were still in the place.txt, just without any coordinates. This caused the String Index Out Of Bounds error. Lesson learned!

      Hi, sorry but I have a sudden drop of interest in playing. I didn't like how I was playing so many games the past few months that I had almost had no time for some other projects. I will move away from playing the Europe games. I would still like to play Classic and D-Day but no Europe games anymore.

      You are definitely right about that. It's funny how we all have some key differences in our strategies and openers for both sides. Which one is the best is something I am wondering about.

      Yes I am not sure either about leaving the Med. I was just testing that out to see if it works. I feel if the ships stay in the Med, the damage they can do is limited. Usually the Middle East is taken once Germany is about to attack Moscow, meaning there are not that many turns that the Allies have to pay all those IPCs. However if the game goes on past turn 6, taking the ME is definitely the best option. I need to try some games now where I stay in the Med before that question can have a proper answer.

      I love Anniversary 1942, let's play that. I think people still like revised but I have not come across a thread where they play that game in the past couple of years. G40 is the most played game at the moment by far, Anniversary and Classic are also often played, as well as many TripleA games like World At War, Total World War, Big World, etc.

      That little area is what I called "What's This?", and I'm assuming that it is suppose to be part of El Agheila. There seems to be a problem with the border there, and it got created when I tried to clean the map. Go figure. It not that hard to take care of, "What's This?" will need to be edited out of the poly file, then El Agheila can be reselected to include that area.

      As to the desert zones, the border did not completely touch the bottom of the map, thus cleaning removed that border. The border would need to be redrawn, insuring that it touches the bottom. Then the two area can be reselected.

      These files have split the desert and have "What's This?" removed, but they still contain the other names for the missing areas.

      That thread discusses the same report. There are some interesting comments.

      I have played this out in some commercial wargames with same result, any surface ships in war zone are dead within days. Which is a problem for an amphibious invasion.

      A&A/TripleA make amphibious invasions much easier than they are in real life.
