Thanks for clarification, if I could summarize: V2: casualties simply get to fire back if a destroyer is present V3+: first strike is removed if opposing side has a destroyer @Cernel regarding LL, with two rolls against a 4: 1/9 chance for 0 hits 4/9 chance for 1 hit 4/9 chance for 2 hits The odds are really good you'll get at least one hit, if not 2. With just one roll, you have a 1/3 chance for the 2nd hit, with the two dice you have slightly better odds for two hits. That means in LL, when attacking a naval fleet, you'd expect more often to have more casualties attacking with 2 subs and a bomber than you would 2 bombers (even though the attack power is the same). Personally I think a big misnomer of LL is that players reduce risk and/or are not playing odds. With subs, fighters and surface fleets, in LL you can get 3 hits with an attack power of as little as 8. Meanwhile a defender if rolling together will not have a chance for 3 hits until you get a power of at least 13, and below 12 there is a chance to have only one return hit.

@bluelionman The rules are agreed upon by the players example = Tech or No Tech, Low Luck or Dice, etc.

Hmm in this case it's a question of permissions. "Regular Users" have a rather limited permission set, so this might be something you can discuss with the moderators here

@bluelionman its based on someone "liking" or "disliking' a post you submitted in the forum. not sure why someone would give you a "thumbs down" vote but i think that is the reason.

@Cernel Thanks for the reply. I was playing on the New World Order (ver 1.8.7) map, but then tried with The Rising Sun (ver 1.9.3), and obtained the same result. Besides updating the game app, I downloaded new copies of these two maps as well. Meant to have written that in the first place as well, but forgot to.

I am going to win it, but only by gradually building battleships and taking capitols when the defenses were down. Winning ugly though.

So, substantially, this feature does nothing useful at all, if you are playing real time (hosting or in bots), while it does send verified dice to everyone involved, if you are PBEM or PBF, but there is nothing letting you know, or even hinting, that is the case, until you try it out? I wasn't really thinking about adding the dice rolls in history. More like wondering, when you roll a dice, if all users inside your host would see the results like you do. I'm understanding they don't. So, practically, if you want to roll dice to see who starts bidding, you can do that, if you are PBEM or PBF, while you can never do that, if you are playing live?

@Gettysburgx It is TCP. You might need an "allow-rule" for triplea.exe on different ports. I have usually opened port 80,443,587,3300,3304 (587 is needed for PbEM only). Again which specific port is needed might be shown in your firewall log. For a brief test whether your issue is firewall related you could take the "risk" for a short moment and test joining with the firewall being deactivated. Just in case you don't want to dig too deep into it.

@Bailey-Hines In brief: In case at least one warship of a power you are at war with is in a sea zone marked with a Convoy symbol adjacent to one or more of your controlled territories, you are subject to convoy disruption during your Collect Income Phase. This is resolved by special dice rolls per enemy warship and results in IPC-deduction - but is limited by the IPC-values of your adjacent territories. The rulebooks have that explained in detail.

@bluelionman When you "opt to play on", you are not deciding to change your victory condition. You are just playing on, while having already won the game, and you cannot win (or lose) a game you already won.
