    @David-Wendt The Game Notes are probably it. They're not very extensive. Purchase screen and hover on the units will tell you what they can do. You could try asking @Black_Elk aka Triplelk for some more info.

    @podle I have heard that there are a number of issues with that map. I think it didn't get fully finished, especially the eastern island. I haven't actually played it, but that is my memory from another thread. That said, you can turn on the console and get more detailed error messages. That setting is in the 'Game' tab of engine preferences.

    @LaFayette @Kindwind are we sure that the dice stats in low luck games is only reporting on rolled dice? seems like that lower than expected reported variance, if true, could be explained if the stats were including the "unrolled dice" somehow. not sure if that's even possible just a thought.

    UPDATE; the new version seems to have fixed the issue. don't really know why but we are able to play online now.

    @Anders if you make it to the lobby you made it past "windows defender". all spots need to be selected for a game to start, some games dont have AI so you need to take all the factions or get an opponent.

    @LaFayette i was in one where it froze and we tried to load saves but someone said they kept getting an error message, asked him to post it, but the game ended round 2,,, then i seen these people talking in the lobby how their multi froze. so i dont personally have any screen shots.

    Its true Germany had an efficiency problem before mid 1943 because they were too late to exert total war economy and failed to efficiently profit from the occupied territories but they overcomed when Speer got in charge of German military production. I don't think the Soviets could have outproduced Germany had the Western Allies remained neutral. Trucks, trains, food, aviation fuel, clothes, raw materials, medicine, military vehicles etc... all gave the Soviets to mostly focus on a few production areas whereas Germany was unable to do it because of also dealing with the Western Allies. Plus strategic bombing campaigns.

    if you are seeing a large attack force coming, from a turn or two away, stack where you think the attack is going to land, use calculator to see what the out come will look like, if it looks real bad, run away and defend somewhere else.

    To leave the apostrophe in the name, replace it with an underscore in the objectives file. Thus "Fading Light of V'landriel" becomes "Fading_Light_of_V_landriel".

    Also, adding an empty <technology></technology> section will remove the "Technology" tab.

    From what I remember, as Im not a fan of Objectives, as the AI does not understand them.

    In the xml, removed the apostrophe

  • Hello,

    A friend of mine has created a mod of a fantasy world of their creation. We are trying to figure out how to see the "Objectives" Tab and add objectives to it. I've spend an exorbitant amount of time trying to figure it out and I am dumb. The mod is fully functional and we are testing the "balance" in various game runs, but we just can't wrap our heads around Objectives currently. I will say I haven't tested to see if they even work, but without the Objectives tab there's no way for the players to see it visually so I wanted that fixed first. I've looked on the forums here and seen about naming conventions with the map.yml file matching mapName in the game xml file. I've tested both with and without underscores in the name within the objective properties file to no avail. I sourced from other mods to see what their code says and nothing seems to line up simply. I even went from the current stable 2.5 version to the current 2.7 version as of today, 5/5/26. I just can't figure it out. I'm uploading the current iteration of the mod that functions, including the nonfunctioning objectives properties file and objectives in the game xml file.
